Our treetop cabins
BOOK YOUR DREAM CABIN ONLINE
Our six treetop cabins are situated in the high part of the estate. They are all south-west facing, which means that you can enjoy the sunshine all day long. The lowest is 3.5 metres above ground, and the highest 5 metres. They are reached via staircases, and each one is more original than the last. Each cabin can accommodate a couple, a family (two to five people) or even two couples of friends. If you come with family or friends you can rent ‘neighbouring’ cabins so you can get together more easily. These unique rentals have all the comfort you need for a long or short stay.
These treetop cabins in the heart of the forest are made entirely from wood, and were built in part using pine and poplar trees felled and cut on the property and wood bought locally from a company working the chestnut for our parquet floors.
Inside: a lounge, a fully-equipped kitchen, an ‘adult’ bedroom (140x190cm bed), a ‘children’s’ bedroom with a double bed (140x190cm) and a single bed (90x190cm), a bathroom (shower, washbasin, WC), a large covered terrace with a plancha. The kitchen is fully-equipped: sink, hotplates, two gas burners, French press cafetière, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, tableware for six people, cooking utensils.

Luna Vaira - Veiled Moon
Perched 4.5 metres high, it is surrounded by oak trees and overlooks a beautiful meadow. South-west facing, it benefits from all-day sunshine - the oak trees and covered terrace do however provide shady areas, which are much appreciated during the summer. Its staircase can be accessed by all and is of average length. Luna Vaira is usually a favourite with families with young children due to its easy access.

L’Esteleta - Little Star
L’Esteleta is located behind the Lou Castalhan cabin. These two cabins are the sunniest throughout the year - which is great for an aperitif on the terrace at the end of the day. It is also surrounded by oak trees and has a view over the truffle field to the right. Overlooking the forest of the ‘Les Cabanes de Jeanne’ estate, from the top of this cabin you get the impression of floating above the treetops, like a ship navigating the waves. This unique accommodation is very often favoured by couples during the early and late season because of its position and south-westerly exposure. It is reached via a small track going deep into the forest, then a big staircase that weaves between the oak trees.

Lou Riou - The River
Lou Riou is accessed via a large wooden walkway; this is the only treetop cabin without steps. As you cross this little bridge, that changes direction and varies in height, you really can imagine being above a river; all that’s missing is the sound of running water. Lou Riou is west-facing and it is one of the most isolated cabins. Located between two forests, a wide meadow stretches out in front of Lou Riou providing children with a large play area. Like Lou Arbrilhon, this cabin is also easy to access so it is great for family holidays with small children. Its west-facing position means that you catch the last rays of sunshine at the end of the day.

Lou Abrilhon - The Little Tree
Lou Arbrilhon takes its name from the particularity of its staircase. Indeed, this cabin has a spiral staircase made entirely of wood and the central axis on which all the steps rest is the trunk of a tree. The unusual accommodation faces southwest and its positioning is greatly appreciated because, like the Lou Riou cabin, it is lower than the others, which makes it attractive to families with young children wanting access. easy.
It is also ideally located for parents wishing to enjoy the terrace while keeping an eye on the children, whether they are in the meadow, at the volleyball court or even on the trampolines. In short, advice to parents, at Lou Abrilhon you can read peacefully or sip your drink while watching your children.

Lou Castalhan - The Chestnut Grove
Lou Castalhan is a treetop cabin over 5 metres high. It is also south-west facing. The entire left side and front of the cabin are surrounded by a forest peppered with oak trees and black pine, allowing the sunlight to filter through and provide warm rays from the early morning. To its right is a beautiful truffle field which was planted a few years ago, providing an open view towards the hills of the estate.
Along with L’Esteleta, this unique cabin has the biggest staircase. Once you reach the top, your calves and thighs will be ready for a jog (no warm-up required!). It is also suitable for families, however access is slightly more complicated for families with young children.

La Palomba - The Wood Pigeon
Perched at the top of the estate but still surrounded by oak trees, La Palomba is the prototype of the ‘Les Cabanes de Jeanne’ project. So you can imagine the importance it holds for us…Its location is quite simply exceptional, but you have to earn it! This out-of-the-ordinary cabin dominates the estate and enjoys a stunning view over the family house. From its position you can see the extent of the Périgord Noir forests, and in particular the forest between Coly and Saint-Amand de Coly. Like all of our cabins, it is reached on foot - however the path to this cabin is slightly longer (5 minutes). Don’t worry though: we’ll bring your bags up on our electric golf cart or tractor…or even by hand. As it is the prototype, La Palomba has a capacity of four people instead of five. It has a bedroom with a double bed (140x190cm) with a single bed (90x190cm) in the living area plus a sofa bed. In October, weather permitting and if the seasons aren’t too unsettled, you might get the chance to see the wood pigeons as they migrate southwards.
